DESCRIPTION: Alfredo Rapetti's writing is meaningless; it is not made of words, but of paths that do not refer to any particular language and, for this reason, enclose all the languages of the world.

The artist's alphabet, engraved in the pictorial substance, speaks the universal language of emotions, a sort of heart-shaped alphabet. "A sign that voluntarily loses its literal meaning," Rapetti explains, "to look for a more primogenous and universal, without language or cultural barriers, shared for sensibility and origin. Word that becomes a pictogram; a pure calligraphy that does not contain and imposes precise messages or personal choices but which suggests and evokes private responses, in the infinite possibility of a free subjective reading. "

Prayer and mantra, poetry and prose, spots that expand freely on the paper creating unprecedented topography: in these works Rapetti Mogol crashes writing and image toward the great tradition of the twentieth century, from avant-gardes to spatialism and at the same time with the refinement of Oriental calligraphy.
