DESCRIPTION: In this work Anna Pennati develops the ancient concept of gold backgrounds of Byzantine art but with silver, blue and white, adding the collage forms in a deliberately opaque and vibrant material. The use of particular "interference" colors makes the work to assume different shades depending on the spectator's viewing angle.

Here we finde the Homeric motif of the Odyssey with Penelope's figure on the right while he is facing the banks of the Aegean Sea awaiting the return of his beloved husband.

These are "solidifying thoughts" that appear on a background recalling the cosmic chaos before creation.
Sublimations = extreme synthesis that includes the "all" and thus the return to the primordial "one". In them, the spectator finds the lost track of their universal origins, which slowly open their full perception of themselves.
